Archie Bell & the Drells follow their debut album on Atlantic with this hurried effort highlighted by Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff's 'I Can't Stop Dancing' and 'Do the Choo Choo.' '(Sitting On) The Dock of the Bay' and 'Monkey Time' are both predictable remakes. But Bell's soulful 'Love Is Gonna Rain on You' is a smoldering, underappreciated slow jam, as is their remake of the Impressions' heart-busting 'I've Been Trying.' Archie Bell could moan and cry with the best of them. (AMG)
