„Live-Mitschnitte mögen zwar liebgewonnene Erinnerungen für diejenigen sein, die selbst dabei waren, trotzdem stellen sie oft nur qualitativ schlechtere Versionen der bekanntesten Stücke dar. Nicht so bei dem Live-Album At the Ryman: Hier setzt Harris' den Schwerpunkt eher auf Coverversionen von Stücken der Künstler, die ihren Musikstil beeinflußt haben, und weniger auf ihre eigenen Hits. Ihre Auswahl, angefangen bei Steve Earle und Bill Monroe über die Everly Brothers und Creedence Clearwater Revival, ist fundiert und (im Falle von Bruce Springsteen) zuweilen überraschend. Die Mitschnitte machen Harris' Liebe zu dieser Musik -- und ihr Gefühl für ihr Publikum -- deutlich. Die Songs selbst mögen anderswo besser gespielt worden sein (am ehesten wohl von den Komponisten); Emmys Darbietung weist kleine Unzulänglichkeiten auf (was bei Live-Auftritten ja durchaus normal ist), doch die Nash Ramblers machen mit ihrem Talent, ihrer Spielfreude und ihrem handgemachten Akustiksound vieles wieder wett.“ (Alexandra Russell)

Emmylou Harris
one of America’s most loved and respected recording artists and her previous band mate Rodney Crowell return with their long-anticipated collaboration album 'Old Yellow Moon'.

During an extensive musical career, spanning over 40 years, Emmylou Harris has recorded more than 25 albums, sold over 15 million records worldwide, and collaborated with a wealth of fellow artists, including Bruce Springsteen, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Mark Knopfler to name a few.
