The production of the award-winning composer Carlo Alessandro Landini is enriched with this publication of a sacred page - not common for the maestro - of rare difficulty. Difficulty due not only to the essence of a text like that of a mass, so full of substance and meaning that it makes your wrists tremble at the idea of ?translating them into music, but also to the inevitable confrontation with the greatest geniuses in history who, from the Middle Ages to the present days, have tried their hand at this genre. Landini uses for his work an acappella vocal group (the Ensemble Fleur-de-Lys, directed by maestro Giorgio Ubaldi), in a sort of return to the purest essence of musical expression, the ancestral and at the same time always modern that comes from the human voice alone. A look therefore to the past great polyphonic traditions that finds it's reason in a modernity that has now overcome the 'sterility' of many avant-gardes that, through pure research, however, have not reached the completing of the art form.

Das Ensemble Fleur de Lys
ist ein 2011 gegründetes Kammerensemble aus international tätigen Musikerinnen und Musikern aus dem Großraum Fulda/Frankfurt/Kassel, die ihr berufliches Engagement und ihre ganze Liebe der Wiederbelebung der Werke des 15. bis 19. Jahrhunderts auf dem Instrumentarium der jeweiligen Zeit verschrieben haben.

Liegt der Schwerpunkt von Anfang an in barocken und klassischen Kammermusikbesetzungen, so hat sich das Ensemble in jüngster Zeit besetzungsmäßig erweitert - letzteres bis hin zum kompletten Barockorchester (z.B. Händel-Messias).

Neben großen Chorkonzerten hatte das Ensemble Auftritte u.a. bei den Alsfelder Kulturtagen, dem Tanner Musiksommer und Schloss Hallenburg in Schlitz. Im Reformationsjahr 2017 begleitet das Ensemble musikalisch die Reihe „Bachkantaten in der Barockstadt Fulda“.

Die französische oder heraldische Lilie, Fleur de Lys, bekanntlicherweise Symbol für die französische Monarchie, aber auch Symbol der heiligen Jungfrau, der Reinheit und des Strebens nach Perfektion.

Auch im Stadtwappen der Barockstadt Fulda, wo unser Ensemble ansässig ist, sind drei weiße Lilienblüten abgebildet. Hier stehen sie für die drei Schutzpatronen der Stadt: Simplizius, Faustinus und Beatrix.

Das übliche Zeichen ist eine stilisierte Schwertlilie. ​

In unserem Logo besteht sie aus einem Violinschlüssel und zwei Bassschlüsseln, denn in der Alten Musik wird dem Bass besondere Wichtigkeit zugewiesen - er wird sogar als das Fundament der Musik bezeichnet - und wird in der Regel von mindestens zwei Instrumenten übernommen.​
