An fünf Episoden des aktuellen "Song Machine"-Projektes von Gorillaz durften wir uns bereits erfreuen. Wir sind mit Noodle, 2D, Murdoc und Russel nach Marokko und Paris, London und an den Comer See gereist sowie durch das Labyrinth eines Arcade Games. Nun gibt es mit "Strange Timez" eine weitere Episode aus dem Cartoon-Musik-Apparillo namens Song Machine, als Gast ist niemand Geringeres als The-Cure-Frontmann Robert Smith mit von der Partie. Im Video finden sich unsere Helden auf dem Mond wieder, in komplettem, prachtvollem Jamie-Hewlett-Technicolour, wo sie um die nächtliche Welt kreisen, bis die Sonne aufgeht – und eine Botschaft in den Mond geschrieben steht: "Be The Change".
Und als wäre das nicht genug, kündigen Gorillaz heute außerdem die komplette Sammlung "Song Machine: Season One - Strange Timez" für den 23. Oktober an.
