Ronan Baudry
is graduate of the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris in saxophone and chamber music, he is also a winner of international competitions Gap, Young Talents West, FNAPEC, Forum Normandy. Ronan performed on the most prestigious French scenes: Théâtre des Champs Élysées, Olympia, Salle Pleyel, national scenes of Rennes, Le Mans, Orléans, Valenciennes, the classical music festivals of Dinard (35), Cuivres en Dombes, the Graves international musical encounters, Les Musicales de Pontivy… He appears as soloist with the Orchestre de Bretagne and in the Orchestre de Paris under the direction of Michel Plasson, the Lamoureux, Pasdeloup and Pays de la Loire orchestras. Founder of the saxophone quartet Carré Mêlé, he leads an international career since 1998 (Russia, Canada, Belgium, Slovenia, Austria, Holland, Scotland, Spain) and makes some performances on radiobroadcasts: France Inter, France Culture but also France 2 Live 8 or Mezzo. As a creative artist, he developed several shows and original concerts "Saxophares et Sémpahones", "Dolmen Rhapsody", "Cargo 1902", for which he sought many composers and stage directors GARY Remo and Olivier Prou, the designer Yvan ROBIN, photographer and film-maker Michel Follorou. In 2010, he made two concert tours throughout Russia with the quartet Carré Mêlé. Since 2008, he gave 180 concerts for the Musical Youth of France with his duo "Black Box and Silver Stick", saxophone and bandoneon. Lately, his key partners are pianist Romain HERVE and bandoneonist Guillaume HODEAU, with whom he recorded two CDs of an original music chamber repertoire. In 2013, he developed a new solo show "Charlie's sparrows" for saxophone and electroacoustics. A graduate of the Paris Conservatoire in education, he teaches saxophone at the Regional Conservatory of Rennes / Pôle Supérieur Bretagne-Pays de la Loire.
