The Naked Sweat Drips
The Naked Sweat Drips
combine intense psychedelic tunes with haunting lyrics, which is being channeled through a portion of roaring guitars and bass, ultra dynamic drumming and thrilling vocals. The band originates from the Dutch town of Boxmeer and consists of Winand Derks van de Ven (guitar), Stefan Kollee (vocals), Tjeu Raaijmakers (guitar), Rick Veldkamp (bass) and Jimmi Vos (drums).

This five-piece delivers psycho-grunge reminiscent of David Bowie, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Kyuss and Pink Floyd, played with brawn and relentless energy.

In 2017 The Naked Sweat Drips released their debut album Psycho Sister through Butler Records. On the album, consisting of ten compositions, the band seeks both lyrically and musically the fine line between insanity and what is socially acceptable. What effect has insanity, how deep can you dive into the world of lunacy and what is left when all boundaries have faded?

The Naked Sweat Drips’ original guitar player Kristian Strik passed away in May 2018 at the age of 24 after being diagnosed for the third time with a brain tumor. Two months prior to his passing, the band recorded the album Pain In Healing with Strik on synthesizer. The album was recorded at Moon Music Studio and co-produced, mixed and mastered by Pieter Kloos. The Naked Sweat Drips performed the songs from Pain In Healing for the first and last time with Kristian Strik on synthesizer and Luc Jeuken on organ on March 21, 2018 in a sold-out Doornroosje, Nijmegen.

In April 2019 Pain In Healing was released through Butler Records. Dutch magazines such as OOR, Lust For Life Magazine and Heaven all wrote praising reviews on the album calling it “one of the most impressive and oppressive psychrock records ever made in the Netherlands”.

After the release show in Nijmegen, The Naked Sweat Drips went on tour promoting Pain In Healing in the new five-piece line-up including Tjeu Raaijmakers on guitar. After many shows, the band wrapped up 2019 during a sold-out show in Doornroosje, Nijmegen.

In January 2020 Pain In Healing got voted Best Release of 2019 by 3voor12 Gelderland.
