Violinist Eung-soo Kim, who has been through turbulent times in recent years, suffered from illness and parting with a close family member while the stage of enthusiastic applause continued. As a performer, he confesses that he accepted the composer's work anew through this process. Going beyond dominating the stage with transcendental skills and overwhelming energy, this album contains the joys and sorrows that our lives must and must go through.

Violinist Eungsu Kim, who is actively working in Europe, won and won prizes in international competitions such as the 1st prize in the Zinetti International Competition in Italy, the 1st prize in the Maria Canals International Competition in Greece, and the 2nd prize in the Tiborvarga International Violin Competition. He has performed with the Swiss Biil Symphony Orchestra, the German Guettingen Symphony Orchestra, and the Czech Prague Chamber Orchestra for overseas invitation performances.

Edwin E.S. Kim
is actively performing throughout the world with Europe as a centre. Edwin Kim who is appraised as the most rising violinist in this era, collaborated invitational performances with Biel Symphony Orchestra Switzerland, Gottingen Symphonie Orchester Germany, Prague Chamber Orchestra Czech, Regensburg Philharmonic Orchestra Germany, Arizona Symphony Orchestra United States and etc. He also presented numerous recitals and chamber concerts in Germany, Austria, Poland, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom and etc.

He performed not only in Europe and American Continent, but also in Asia, especially in Korea with KBS Symphony Orchestra, Korean Chamber Orchestra, KT Chamber Orchestra, Busan Philharmonic Orchestra, Ulsan Symphony Orchestra, Chungnam State Philharmonic Orchestra, Kyungbuk State Symphony Orchestra, Changwon Philharmonic Orchestra, Daegu Symphony Orchestra, Prime Philharmonic Orchestra, Daegu Melos Orchestra, Wonju Philharmonic Orchestra, Jinju City Orchestra and etc.

His recent performance with Gwangju Symphony Orchestra at 2014 Korean Orchestra Festival received a big standing ovation and was specially broadcasted on live through ARTE TV and KBS Classic FM and which, still on rerunning.

In June 2014, he was invited to the prestigious Litomyšl Festival, that has 55 years of history and better known after Soprano Sumi Jo’s performance, and played with Leos Swarovski and Pardubice Chamber Orchestra. All audience gave thunderous standing ovation having 15 curtain calls, the most number recorded for the 2014 festival.

In the same year, he captured rather difficult Prague audience through playing with The Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra and received a big praise; ‘He presented a deep touch that could never be described by a human language!’ ‘Expectably, he is more than enough to join the top ranks of European musicians.’

From 2012, Edwin has been the main artist of the Lech Classic Music Festival at European royal families and global VIPs visit. Recorded all seats sold out every year, he attracts public attention in Europe with review of ‘one of the first-class violinists in the world’. The festival was broadcasted by ORF TV and radio.

Edwin, who showed the distinguished musicianship early in Europe, is a top prize winner of the Zinetti International Chamber Music Competition, Maria Canals International Music Competition, Tibor Varga International Violin Competition, ‘Rodolfo Lipizer’ International Violin Competition and Spohr International Violin competition.

Starting with a release of the CD by Azzurra Music sponsored by Verona City Italy in 2008, his second CD was released in 2010 by Telos Music Records, Germany for 200th Schumann’s birth anniversary. From 2012, the live albums of Lech Classic Music Festival are being released every year, and he keeps receiving love calls from recording companies in U.S. and the UK parallel to his reputation. Edwin E.S. KIM is an exclusive artist of Marlies Wagner Management, Austria. He was born in Seoul, Korea and graduated summa cum laude all from Seoul Arts High School, Vienna National University of Music, Austria, Graz National University of Music, Austria and Hanover National University of Music, Germany.

In 2012, He has been appointed as a professor of Violin at Hanyang University in Seoul.
