Info for Surges (on Broadwood Grand, 1875)
Carlos Cipa is a classically trained pianist, composer and producer that made his mark on the modern classical world with his two records The Monarch and the Viceroy (2012) and All your life you walk (2014) and a variety of EPs.
Carlos Cipa bridges genres and merges what seems contradictory. In any case, his own life is characterised by breaks: From the age of six he worked towards a career as a classical pianist - until one day he discovered drums and needed to escape the classical world. He plunged into the vast world of music, played in rock bands, devoured ambient, pop, electronic music - and time and again classical music. ...
Carlos Cipa, piano
is a Munich-based composer and multi-instrumentalist. He has been classically trained on the piano and studied contemporary classical composition at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich. During his teenage years, he started playing the drums and gained experience as a member of various bands. Experimenting with different styles of music, he turned back to piano as his main instrument, facilitating him to find his way throughout composition and improvisation, before releasing his debut »The Monarch and the Viceroy« and his sophomore record »All your life you walk« on Denovali Records in 2012 and 2014.
