Info for Women In Music Pt. III

Women In Music Pt. III is the follow up to Haim’s sophomore album, Something To Tell You, which was released in July 2017. Something To Tell You debuted at No.2 on the UK album charts and No. 7 on the Billboard 200 following release and was critically acclaimed by NME, The FADER, NPR, and more. The album was declared “a gleaming triumph of artisanal pop music” by Stereogum, Pitchfork called the album “slyly complex” and The Observer noted that it “finds them adding a bittersweet edge to their fusion of retro pop styles.”

Speaking on the new album release date, the band add, “Now that we’re all starting to settle into our new normal, it feels like a more appropriate time for us to release this body of work. We’re so excited to announce that our new album will now be released on June 26.”

‘I Know Alone’ is the latest song Haim have shared from Women In Music Pt. III. Their new album, which was originally scheduled for release April 24th, will now be released on June 26th. Danielle Haim co-produced the new album along with longtime collaborators Grammy Award-winning producer Ariel Rechtshaid (Adele, Blood Orange, Carly Rae Jepsen) and Rostam Batmanglij (Charli XCX, Solange, Frank Ocean). The new album will also include ‘The Steps,’ which Haim released earlier this year and The FADER proclaimed, “has all the components of an essential HAIM track — all the yearning, all the embedded grooves, all the rip-roaring guitar.” Previously released songs ‘Hallelujah,’ ‘Now I’m In It,’ and ‘Summer Girl’ will also be featured on the album.

Haim

HAIM
Hailing from the San Fernando Valley, HAIM consists of, "Three sisters, and a mister" that has been shaking things up in the city of Los Angeles for the past four years. It is truly a family affair for the band which prides themselves on being able to switch from instrument to instrument with complete confidence and ease, and all while singing in three part harmony. The sisters, Este, Danielle, and Alana, grew up playing classic rock songs with their parents in a family band, called "Rockinhaim," which played for charity events and street fairs. After years of playing with their parents, the girls decided to strike out on their own, and began writing their own material. Este, the eldest of the three, plays bass guitar and found time in between touring to graduate from UCLA with a degree in Music. Danielle, the 22 year old lead guitar player, who previously toured with Jenny Lewis, Ceelo Green, and Julian Casablancas. Alana, the youngest in the band, plays rhythm guitar, keyboard, and percussion. Rounding out the group is Dash Hutton, who previously played drums for LA bands Wires on Fire and Slang Chickens. Over the past few years, the band has opened up for Julian Casablancas, Cold War Kids, Ke$ha, Group Love, No Age, The Bird and the Bee, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Chief and The Henry Clay People. In February 2012, HAIM released a three song EP titled Forever.
