This album is performed by the women's saxophone quartet formed in 2010. A lot of new work is recorded, and it serves to increase the repertoire of the saxophone quartet.

Maki Kasai
was born in Yokohama, Japan.

Studied classical music at SHOWA UNIVERSITY OF MUSIC, and received the Special Prize at there.

After graduated the university, she entered SHOWA UNIVERSITY OF MUSIC, Postgraduate Specialized Program, and received the Presidential Prize. After graduating, she won the 1st prize at the 12th Japan Classical Music Competition, and got the many awards in various competitions. Kasai’s music fascinates the audience by her sentient and dynamic playing.

She studied under Mieko Okazaki, Miwako Watanabe, Keiji Munesada, Shintaro fukumoto, Yasuto Tanaka, in a saxophone. And, She studied under Shinichiro Hikosaka, Kenichiro Muto by chamber music.
