clarinet, has received many prizes during her musical studies, and was ranked among the elite of clarinet players in many international competitions.

As soloist and performer of chamber music, she has performed with numerous orchestras (Opéra de Lyon, Stuttgart chamber orchestra, Orchestre d’Auvergne, etc.), ensembles (Quatuor Danel, Quatuor d’Auvergne, etc.) and musicians (Jean-Michel Bertelli, Serge Collot, Julie Guigue, Wilhelm Latchoumia, Laurent Martin, Angélique Pourreyron, etc.).

Passionate about contemporary music, she has created varied works (Ivan Jevtic, Peter Eötvos, Joseph Reveyron, Daniel Meier, Gilles Raynal, Jean- Marc Jouve, Pascal de Montaigne, etc.) and produced concert (Lumières d’Orient by Martine Chifflot- Comazzi with the Compagnie Arcthéâtre, Dance in Progress with Danse Actuelle, etc.) and performancesin several festivals: Loire-Forez, Musiques Démesurées, Rencontres Contemporaines, Festivalde Bourgogne du Sud, etc.).

She is often invited abroad and has performed several tours in Egypt, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Romania, Turkey, etc.

Her discography is composed of around 20 CDs to date, recorded for various labels.

comes from the great tradition of the French clarinet school that he represented at the International Congress at Phoenix, USA. Jean-Marc Fessard studied at the « Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris », the Paris University (Master Musicology) and Gda?sk Academy of Music (PhD). He was prizewinner of the Concours d’Interprétation Jacques Lancelot (1st prize), the Paris International Competition (3rd prize, 1996), Illzach (1st prize 1997) and Gda?sk (1st prize and Special prize of the Hamburg Brahms Society 1997).He leads an international career both in chamber music and as a soloist accompanied by prestigious ensembles (National orchestras of Pozna?, Szczecin, Katowice, Bakou, Gda?sk, Polish National Radio Orchestra, Polish chamber Orchestra, Chamber orchestra of the Czech Philharmonic, Zagreb Chamber Orchestra, Erevan National Orchestra, Orchestre de chambre de Wallonie, Elysee, Ebène, and Wieniawski Quartets).Involved in creating contemporary music, dedicatee of many works, and member of the Ensemble Sillages, Jean-Marc Fessard is a frequent contributor to Polish radio and television, the BBC and Radio France. In April 2011 he had performed the Tansman clarinet concerto at the Warszaw Polish Radio Studio I. In November 2011 he had recorded ” D’un silence…” the clarinet concerto by Piotr Moss with the National Polish Radio Orchestra conducted by Micha? Klauza (Dux 1118). Jean-Marc Fessard has recorded some 30 CD’s for such labels as Naxos, Dux, Universal, Quantum, Signature Radio-France, Kalidisc, Clarinet Classics, Ameson, which regularly receive excellent reviews in the press. His last one with the music by Allain Gaussin (Ameson) receives the prestigious « Grand Prix de l’Académie Charles Cros ».Yvonne Loriod-Messiaen described his version of the « Quatuor pour la Fin du Temps » by Olivier Messiaen as « Simply admirable » (Dux 0459). He has recorded for Naxos Alexander Tansman’s Concerto and Concertino, as the chamber music for clarinet. “Polish Music for clarinet and piano” including rare works by Sza?owski, Perkowski, Moss, Rathaus is available in London « Clarinet Classics » catalogue. As a bass clarinet specialist, he has put together in a CD « Dedicaces » works dedicated to him (Quantum).Jean-Marc Fessard has been invited to give masterclasses in the Czech republic (Prague Conservatory), China (Central Conservatory, China Conservatory and Music University in Beijing), Poland (Gda?sk, Pozna?, Lódz, Katowice), the UK (Royal College of Music, London). He is a member of the jury of the Gda?sk International Brahms Competition, Lódz Alexander Tansman International Chamber Music Competition and the Polish National Karol Kurpi?ski clarinet competition in W?oszakowice. Jean-Marc Fessard is the author of « The Evolution of the Clarinet » (Billaudot Paris), a work on the history of the clarinet, a new clarinet method in 3 books (Ecoute ! Je Joue…Billaudot Paris) and is director of publications for Billaudot-Paris.
