Laurence Juber Performs Two Dazzling Solo Acoustic Fingerstyle Pieces | Acoustic Guitar Sessions

The two-time Grammy winner may be familiar to many ears as the guitarist in Paul McCartney and Wings from 1978 to Wings’ dissolution in 1981. Since then, Juber has established a lasting career as a solo guitarist and studio musician who has helped to push the acoustic guitar forward.

His latest project is called "Touchstones—The Evolution of Fingerstyle Guitar," an album and book collection showcasing performances and music of historical touchstones in the evolution of what would become known in the 20th century as fingerstyle guitar. It includes the first published Renaissance lute, vihuela, and guitar pieces, and then proceeds with representative examples from the Baroque, Classical and Romantic musical eras, before transitioning into the American parlor guitar repertoire with the influential “Spanish Fandango.”
