Hommage an den legendären Howlin‘ Wolf, von dem aus dem Aki Kaurismäki Film „Le Havre“ bekannten französischen Rock’n’Roll Urgestein Little Bob.

Europas bestgehütetes Rock Geheimnis, Little Bob, ist ein echter 'Rocking Class Hero' aus der französischen Hafenstadt Le Havre. Eine Stadt, die der gefeierte finnische Filmemmacher Aki Kaurismäki wegen ihrer besonderen Atmosphäre und Musikszene ganz bewusst für sein 2011er Comedy-Drama „Le Havre“ ausgewählt hat. Eine Stadt über die Kaurismäki selbst sagte „this city is the Memphis, Tennessee of France and Little Bob is the Elvis of this Kingdom“ (diese Stadt ist das Memphis / Tennessee Frankreichs und Little Bob ist der Elvis dieses Königreichs). Nach über 20 aufgenommen Alben, liefert Little Bob mit „Howlin’“ eine Hommage an den großen Blues Shouter Howling Wolf, einem seiner wichtigsten Einflüsse zu Beginn seiner Karriere vor über 50 Jahren.

Little Bob
Originally Italian (Roberto Piazza), “Little Bob” moved very early in France. He begins to sing (in english) in a rock band around 1975. He s successful with his first albums and tours a lot UK, Ireland and France. He tours with The Inmates, Clash, Lord of the new church, The Sex pistols, Motorhead, The Stranglers…His image (genuineness and musical honesty linked to strong stage performances) is still very strong in France where he has sold a lot of records. With a “back to the roots feeling” he sings for the first time 2 songs in Italian in this new album (Libero was the name of his father).
