Info zu Elusive Moments

"Elusive Moments" is the debut album of The Skypainters, an international ensemble from Groningen (The Netherlands and locally known as the “pearl of the north”). Band leader and guitarist Kirill Dumchenko (35) refers to the music as a mix of Modern Jazz music with influences from Classical music of the early 20th century, and contemporary Electronic music. “We are painting sounds that change in the moment.” Musically inspiration comes from Kurt Rosenwinkel, Brad Mehldau, Stravinsky, Prokovjev and Mussorgsky. Visually from impressionist painters as Van Gogh and Monet.

The Band "The Skypainters" was founded by composer, arranger, guitar-player Kirill Dumchenko in 2017. The original music of this project is unique combination of Modern Jazz music with a lot of influences from Classical music of the beginning 20th century, featuring Opera Voice. The Skypainters can be interesting for wide range of audience, since the music has improvisation parts, deep melodic concept, contemporary odd-meter.

Kirill Dumchenko
was born in Barnaul, Russia. He started his professional career as a Musician, Composer and Musical educator in Moscow. Now he currently lives in Groningen, the Netherlands. ​

Kirill is developing his musical style, which he calls "Impressionistic Jazz", based on the project "The Skypainters". Kirill is inspired by Modern Jazz, Classical music with influences from contemporary Electronic music. ​
