Samuel Wootton ist Percussionist, Komponist und Producer. Er ist von Jazz, Weltmusik und beatorientierter Musik inspiriert, bedingungslos unbefangen, experimentierfreudig und immer auf der Suche nach Musik die ihn emotional berührt. Fündig wird er in der dadaistischen Musik von Tom Zé genauso wie bei Kae Tempest oder Tom Waits.

Seine eigene Musik hat Tiefe, Humor und beeindruckende instrumentale Vielfalt. Sie erzählt Geschichten und kreiert einzigartige Stimmungen mit pulsierenden Rhythmen und intimen Melodien. Am 19.01.2024 erscheint sein Debütalbum „Allsorts“ unter eigenem Namen.

Samuel Wootton was awarded the 'Kulturkreis Gasteig Musikpreis' and the 'Krach and Getöse Musikpreis'. He held scholarships from the 'Andechser Orff-Akademie des Münchener Rundfunkorchesters' and from the 'Oscar und Vera Ritter Stiftung'.
