Biographie Jade MacRae

Jade MacRae
Jade MacRae
is a multi dimensional artist & powerhouse vocalist, renowned for her songwriting depth and penchant for studio production and arranging.

Jade was born to musician parents Joy Yates and Dave MacRae, and studied piano & violin from an early age at the esteemed Sydney Conservatorium Of Music, where she would continue through to University level.

Having released two full length pop R’n’B albums to high critical acclaim and Australian chart success in the early 2000s, Jade’s career would diverge and see her share the stage, screen and studio with the likes of James Brown, John Legend, Ray Charles, Jimmy Barnes and Cold Chisel, Neil Finn, Dave Stewart, George Benson, Renee Geyer to name a few, and since 2015 Jade has become a beloved fixture in the touring and studio band for blues guitar great Joe Bonamassa.

Jade released her third full length solo record “Handle Me With. Care” in 2020 - a soulful throwback 50s R'nB' collection touted by The Guardian as “the perfect comeback vehicle”.

In 2023 Jade released "Out Of Sight" ft Kirk Fletcher & "Rose Coloured Glasses" both from the forthcoming album "In My Veins", a gritty soul driven collection due August 2024.

"Jade Macrae is one of the most naturally gifted musicians I have ever encountered. Jade is what you would call a singers singer and musicians musician. It is rare to see the combination of soulfulness and technical dexterity meet in such a great way. Most musicians are functioning with one or the other but find it hard to achieve duality. Jade sings from soul and it connects with the audience, that is something you can’t learn, it is born within. I am honored to share the stage with her every night..." (Joe Bonamassa)
