a Polish guitarist and composer. He has cooperated with many great names of jazz and pop, including; Pat Metheny, Richard Bona, Mino Cinelu,Dhafer Youssef, Gregoire Maret, Adam Holzman, Sugar Blue, Anna Maria Jopek, Tomasz Stańko, Leszek Możdżer, Dorota Miśkiewicz, Henryk Miśkiewicz, Urszula Dudziak, Grzegorz Turnau, Ewa Bem, Klaus Doldinger (Passport), Janusz Muniak, Tomasz Szukalski, Krzysztof Ścierański, Jan "Ptaszyn" Wróblewski.

He has featured on over 100 albums and toured around Europe, Canada, USA, Japan, Indonesia and Russia.

Back in 2002, he participated in Pat Metheny & Anna Maria Jopek’s project called "Upojenie" (Nonesuch Records 2008) and also took part in two concerts following the release of the album.

He has released two original albums (with Universal Music Poland), both of which were nominated for the prestigious Polish music award Fryderyk as "Jazz Album of The Year" and "Jazz Musician of The Year". On both CD's Marek plays his own compositions. "NAP" was released on 6th June 2005 and featured Leszek Możdżer, Anna Maria Jopek and Henryk Miśkiewicz. On 1st July 2007 the acoustic album "Wolno" was released, in co-operation with Mino Cinelu, Gregoire Maret, Anna Maria Jopek, Robert Majewski, Michał Tokaj, Robert Kubiszyn and Michał Miśkiewicz. This album became a Gold Record in Poland.

Marek leads his own quartet and is also the co-leader of Funky Groove Band. Both Funky Groove's CD's were chosen as albums of the year by the readers of the professional music magazine "Guitar and Bass".

In a survey carried out among Jazz Forum's readers, Funky Groove was chosen as the electric group of the year twice, while Marek Napiórkowski has also been voted as one of the top jazz guitarists.

Recently, he has been touring with Anna Maria Jopek, Dorota Miśkiewicz, Henryk Miśkiewicz and his own projects.
