Tharice Virtuosi

The Tharice Virtuosi
are a string ensemble made up of remarkable musicians, whose virtuosity, instrumental perfection and joy of performing are admirable. The ensemble brings together musicians who lead international careers as soloists, chamber musicians, leaders of renowned orchestras, or who teach in major schools. Each brings his own personality, colour, virtuosity and musicality, turning the chosen scores into a unique collective experience. The audience is immediately drawn into the communicative joie de vivre, liveliness and dynamics of the artists.

Their chamber music repertoire varies from string trio to octet and encompasses works ranging from the Baroque era to contemporary pieces, through the great Romantic works and Viennese classics. The Tharice Virtuosi also play in very original formations, where each can put forward his qualities as soloist as well promoting their own arrangements in a very personal way. This unique musical approach opens huge possibilities of presenting works in various forms. The ensemble is marked with exceptional human and musical warmth, dating back to their days at the International Menuhin Music Academy in Gstaad, studying with the great masters Lord Yehudi Menuhin and Alberto Lysy.

The Tharice Virtuosi perform as duet, trio, quartet, sextet and octet, or as a string chamber orchestra.
