Info for Handel & Haym: Trio sonatas

A talented composer whose works are unfairly neglected, Nicola Francesco Haym was the librettist of many Handel operas. The musicians of L'Aura Rilucente evoke the relationship between the two artists with tenderness and brio in a programme juxtaposing trio sonatas and arrangements of operatic arias.

L'Aura Rilucente:
Heriberto Delgado Gutiérrez, violin
Sara Bagnati, violin
Silvia Serrano Monesterolo, cello
Maximilian Ehrhardt, harp
Jorge López-Escribano, organ, harpsichord

L’Aura Rilucente
came to life in the Renaissance Villa Simonetta, home to the Accademia Internazionale della Musica di Milano. Coming from four different countries the young ensemble is driven to unite their different personalities and temperaments in order to research and perform the musical repertoire of the 17th and 18th century.

L’Aura Rilucente have performed during concert series such as “Sommerkonzerte in der Schlosskirche Friedrichshafen”(Germany) and “I Concerti Dell’Accademia” (Ravenna) being featured as a young upcoming ensemble by the “Accademia Bizantina”. They played during the Fringe Festival of the “MA Festival” in Bruges and the Fabulous Fringe of the “Festival Oude Muziek” in Utrecht. The ensemble played the opening concert of the “Berliner Tage für Alte Musik” in October 2012.

Being one of the winners of the “International Young Artist’s Presentation” they were invited to showcase their work in Antwerp. At the “Festival International de Teatro Clásico” in Almagro (Spain) the group co-created in collaboration with theatre director Martin Butler an opera for children.

L’Aura Rilucente in 2013 were offered a residency at Ambronay (France) as one of “Les Jeunes Ensembles 2013”. In March the same year they participated on REMA (Réseau Européen de Musique Ancienne) showcase in Marseille (France), and in May in the Monteverdi Festival in Cremona and in the “Rassegna di musica da camera” in Bergamo (Italy). This coming September they will participate in the Festival Ambronay (France) and later in October at the Baroque Week 2013 in Bucarest (Romania).

L’Aura Rilucente will record their first CD for the Ambronay Label, which will be released in 2015.
