Sticky Wicked ist eine niederländische Electric-Jazz-Fusion-Gruppe, die von dem Bassisten und Komponisten Peter van Breukelen gegründet wurde. Er gründete ein Ensemble mit Peter Lieberom (Saxophon), Remco van der Sluis (Schlagzeug), Glenn Black/Guy Nikkels (Gitarre) und Steven Hupkes/Matthijs Geerts (Tasten), Musiker, die bereits mit vielen großen Namen der Jazz- und Popszene gespielt haben. Peters eigene Kompositionen gelten als originell, frisch und zeitgemäß. Und sie sind eindeutig das Ergebnis einer jahrzehntelangen Inspiration durch die Besten des Jazz, wie Herbie Hancocks Headhunters, John Scofield und Weather Report.

Sticky Wicked
An electric jazz, jazz-rock and funk group. We are proud announcing our first album 'Nightfall’ with original compositions being available on cd through Zennez Records.

The musicians of Sticky Wicked have individually played and collaborated with a host of well-known Dutch and international groups and artists in music. Nationally they performed with artists and bands like Candy Dulfer, Trijntje Oosterhuis, Kane, Jan Akkerman, Thé Lau, Powerplay, Ruth Jacott, John Engels, Benjamin Herman, Focus, Eef Albers and others. Internationally they collaborated with artists such as Mike Mainieri, Dianne Reeves, Michael Brecker, Roy Hargrove, Steve Lukather, Sister Sledge and more.

Performing live, Sticky Wicked complements their own compositions with well known jazzrock/funk standards as a basis for improvisation. These standards range from early work from artists and bands like Herbie Hancocks Headhunters, John Scofield, Wayne Shorter, Weather Report and Jeff Lorber, among others.

This album contains no booklet.
