Seconda Pratica
Founded in 2012 by students at the conservatoires of The Hague and Amsterdam, Seconda Pratica aims to create bridges between musical periods, audiences and different artistic disciplines.

The musicians of Seconda Pratica are particularly interested in the invention of new concert forms, to both attract public attention and to explore new performance opportunities. Their residence has allowed them to work on their Nova Europa programme. In addition to the discovery of some little-known Latin American repertoire, their aim is to show how Europe had to create a new identity when confronted with these new worlds.

Within the eeemerging programme, Seconda Pratica recorded their first CD at the Ambronay Cultural Encounter Centre (France) from 7 to 10 April 2016. It will be released on the Ambronay Editions Young Ensemble collection in October 2016. The ensemble will be in residence from 12 to 21 August the Göttingen International Handel Festival (Germany).
