Info for Franz Schubert: Sonatas

Tristan Pfaff is an appreciated pianist of the greatest scenes for his virtuosity and the maturity of his interpretations, unvarnished or sequins. This recording dedicated to Schubert, was conducted in November 2012 in contemplation of the Abbey of Fontevraud, and is one of the moments of grace in his career. It imposes a faithful reading and renews several masterpieces of the famous piano Wanderer Fantasy, whose title evokes the spirit of German Romanticism, the Sonata D. 894, pure gems of writing Schubert. On the military appears as an encore in which Tristan Pfaff argues wonderful qualities of virtuoso.

“The quality of music-making on the album is very solid… Seriously, this is good quality music making and lovely to listen to.” (Early Music Review)
