Info for Ryan and Rory

Nashville’s country music duo Ryan and Rory “are bursting onto the scene with a prime summer-ready song called ‘Pour Decisions’” (Country Swag) that Country Now also declared as a “catchy, post-heartbreak summertime anthem.” Just named SiriusXM The Highway’s latest “Highway Find,” Ryan and Rory’s buzzy party starter “Pour Decisions” is a nod to the universal heartache band-aid, with the lively, summer smash launching their highly anticipated self-titled debut EP, coming July 26.

In the vibrant tapestry of country music, duos have always occupied a special place, weaving together harmonies and melodies that resonate deeply with listeners. Adding a new thread to this rich tradition are Ryan and Rory, a duo whose energy and talent are poised to shake up Music City. As fans eagerly anticipate their debut EP, "Pour Decisions," the dynamic duo offers a tantalizing preview of their intoxicating artistry with the release of the title track.

This whimisical duo doesn't just deliver a song; they serve up an experience that's equal parts nostalgia and novelty. Drawing inspiration from the golden era of 90s country, Ryan and Rory offer up a healthy dose of lyrical wit and double entendres that pay homage to their roots while keeping things fresh and modern. It's a musical cocktail that's expertly mixed, leaving listeners with a taste of the past and a hint of the present. "Pour Decisions" offers up unabashed sense of fun and adventure. With each playful lyric and catchy hook, Ryan and Rory invite you to join them on a journey through a world where every pour leads to a new and exciting discovery.

Ryan Follesé is a Nashville native, 2X PLATINUM #1 hit singer-songwriter and American Music Award winner. Rory John Zak, from Raleigh, North Carolina, is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter who has played over 300 shows per year since he was 17. Opening for Sam Hunt this summer, Ryan co-wrote all six tracks on the project, with Rory adding his masterful instrumentals and expertly smooth harmonies to Ryan’s robust lead vocals. Kickstarting their catalog with a vivacious, summer anthem, the EP embodies that vibrant, wide-open spirit, while also showcasing their musical depth with bright imagery, buoyant lyricism, and soul-stirring ballads.

Ryan and Rory

Ryan Follesé
is an American rock musician better known as the front for the band Hot Chelle Rae, as well as having a solo career as a country singer. Both his parents were singer / songwriters. Follesé recruited guitarist Nash Overstreet, bassist Ian Keaggy, and drummer Jamie Follesé, Ryan’s younger brother. They signed to Jive Records in 2008.

Hot Chelle Rae’s debut singles “Tonight Tonight” and “I Like It Like That” were successful charting singles, and the band’s career was off, with their studio album “Whatever.” In 2011 and 2012 they toured New Zealand and Australia. They covered “Jingle Bell Rock” for the holiday season that year. After a few more single releases, each of the band members have taken a break from the band to do solo work.

Rory John Zak
When it comes to the 10,000-hour rule, Rory John Zak has that box checked and then some. Born and raised in North Carolina, Rory demonstrated from a young age a gift for piano, sparking a lifelong love of music. Rory went on to develop into a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist winning talent competitions and performing weekly as a solo artist and band frontman while still in high school. That popularity garnered the attention of The Carolina Opry in Myrtle Beach and by the age of 17, he became the youngest full-time cast member in their 36-year history performing 6 nights a week before stepping down at age 21 to pursue a career as a solo artist.

Frequent trips to Nashville throughout the years also led to friendships and collaborations with songwriters and industry veterans who took notice of the young man with the big smile and personality to match. Rory continues to work, write and perform across the Southeast, as well as internationally for our U.S. troops overseas at military bases around the world.

Rory’s music is a reflection of his southern roots often melded together with some of the coastal influences from his early years spent on summer vacations in the Outer Banks to living the beach life in SC.
