Info for Cuna de piedras

This is the first album of Natalia Molina who began with the singer songwriter generation in Santiago. It was recorded in an analogue format between August and September 2010 at Studio Master, with the exception of “Alma” which she recorded with Marcelo Aldunate and Carlos Cid previously at Vodka Studios. “Alma” was a major hit with a high play rotation in many local radio stations.

Since releasing her single “Alma” (Soul) in 2008, with a heavy rotation in local station Radio Uno, Natalia Molina spent some time in finishing her first independent record, Cuna de Piedras, which she finally released, supported by government cultural funds, during the first semester of 2011.

“Errar es de vivos, no de muertos” ('The living make errors, not the dead'), she writes in the song 'Alma', a song that sounds like an early sixties ballad, where she has the influence of her favorite band, The Beatles.“ (Zona de Contacto)

„Going back decades, Natalia Molina reflects on her first album as the best of the beat sound that conquered the radios in Chile during the nineties, utilising a compelling mix of popular music, a bit of psychedelia and ballads in her ten songs. That friendly atmosphere contrasts with an account of half-hidden motives, which are discovered slowly, slowly seducing until they are shown brilliantly.“ (POTQ)

„The album consists of ten tracks recorded in analog format, faithfully capturing the warm, timeless sound that the singer nurtures, and it is a good example of the versatility of her compositions, that move between pop and folk rock.“ (bibliotecaviva.cl)
