Since their breakthrough, Silbermond have been one of Germany's top acts - and have significantly influenced the development of German-language rock music. The anthems with lyrics from their own pen have long been part of the collective musical memory. After more than 6 million records sold, hundreds of sold-out concerts and dozens of gold and platinum awards, after almost 20 years under power in the music business, after anthems like "Symphonie", "Durch die Nacht", "Das Beste", "Krieger des Lichts", "Irgendwas Bleibt" and "Leichtes Gepäck", Silbermond released their sixth studio album "Schritte" in 2019. Now they are releasing "AUF AUF", their seventh album, which has already caused a stir with the single releases in the run-up.

"AUF AUF" is an album about the most human of all needs. For love and closeness, for people in one's own life. For example, when singer Stefanie Kloß, now herself the mother of a son, talks in the song "Hey Ma" to a reduced production about how exactly this has changed her view of her own mother and thinks back to her own childhood and long-gone days at the side of probably the bravest person on this planet. An embracing thanksgiving. Whether as a child and daughter or a grown woman who has become a mother herself. Quite different is "Lieber ich weglaufen" (video to be seen below). A song about the fear of facing oneself and the attempt to escape the ego.

Bereits seit der Veröffentlichung ihres Debütalbums „Verschwende deine Zeit“ und der Hymne „Symphonie“ im Jahr 2004 gehören Silbermond zur Top-Riege deutschsprachiger Pop-Rock-Künstler. Die erfolgreichste deutsche Band mit Frontfrau verkaufte bis heute mehr als fünf Millionen Tonträger, erhielt dutzende von Gold- und Platin-Awards aus verschiedenen Ländern – und wurde unter anderem von der deutschen Phono-Akademie mit sieben ECHOs ausgezeichnet. Drei Jahre nach ihrem letzten Studio-Album „Himmel auf“ melden sich Silbermondjetzt zurück und präsentieren auf ihrem nunmehr fünften Studio-Album „Leichtes Gepäck“ zwölf große deutsche Rocksongs. Die Stücke entstanden im bandeigenen Studio in Berlin und wurden in Nashville/USA eingespielt – einem Aufnahmeort, der die Weiterentwicklung des charakteristischen Silbermond-Sounds entscheidend mitgeprägt hat. Für dieses Silbermond-Album zeichnen sich erstmals Alexander Freund, Moritz Enders und Gitarrist Thomas Stolle als Produzenten verantwortlich. „Leichtes Gepäck“ wird am 27. November 2015 veröffentlicht, mit „Intro (Die Mutigen)“ gibt es schon ab dem heutigen Tag einen ersten Vorboten. Das auf Super 8 gedrehte Video zum Track wurde von Schlagzeuger Andreas gemeinsam mit Daniel Lwowski in Island realisiert. „Intro (Die Mutigen)“ ist für Album-Vorbesteller ab sofort zu haben. Mit „Leichtes Gepäck“ erscheint dann am 16. Oktober die erste offizielle Single aus dem gleichnamigen Album.
