Info for 9 Lives

9 Lives is the fifth full length album from Texas singer-songwriter, and genre disrupter, Koe Wetzel. The album is produced predominantly by Gabe Simon (Noah Kahan’s Stick Season) alongside a string of trusted collaborators like Josh Serrato, Amy Allen, Carrie K, and Sam Harris (X Ambassadors).

With a devoted cult audience, the Pittsburg, Texas native is known for showing off his versatility as a writer and his prowess as an interpreter of songs. Mixing country with rock, hip-hop, and grunge; 9 Lives proves that there’s much more to Koe’s story. There are big, emotional ballads like “Damn Near Normal,” “Sweet Dreams” and “Hatchet,” and easy going country singalongs like “Bar Song” and “Reconsider.” Some of his vocal performances border on the gorgeous, tempering Wetzel’s image as an unrepentant hellion.

Koe Wetzel

Koe Wetzel
a name that triggers euphoria in every country fan. The platinum-certified singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer manages like no other to inspire the masses and connect the music communities with his mix of country and a touch of grunge. In November 2024, the Texan is finally coming to Germany for 3 concerts. An evening not to be missed.

Koe Wetzel leaves a trail of sold-out venues and enthusiastic fans and has quietly established himself as the ultimate country rock star. He has long been no stranger to his homeland. 1.3 billion streams, platinum and multiple gold-certified singles and being the headliner at his own "Koe Wetzel's Incredible Music Festival" speak for themselves. The singer, born in Texas in 1992, who never compromises, is perhaps the last real rebel out there. He shakes up the status quo, shatters expectations and creates his own sound: he skilfully combines guitar sounds from Nashville, Texan spirit and hard rock from Seattle, thus appealing to thousands of people.

WETZEL is known for music that is unvarnished and unfiltered - in terms of sound and lyrics - and his studio album "Hell Paso", which stayed in the US charts for 18 weeks and was recorded nowhere else but at the famous Sonic Ranch in Texas, lives up to this promise. With his long-time colleague Taylor Kimball, Wetzel retreated there for a month and devoted himself exclusively to his music. If you ask his fans, the time was completely worth it. Singles such as "Cabo", "Oklahoma Sun" and "Money Spent" give an insight into the singer-songwriter's versatile sound. His first new music was recently released with "Damn Near Normal". When writing the new song, the Texan-born artist was inspired by his life as a touring artist. Wetzel said: "Waking up in a new place every day, playing music all night for our fans... it's a wild ride we're on, and it looks completely different to most people's 'normal'... but I wouldn't have it any other way."

His numerous chart songs and celebrated live performances with his own headline tour and at festivals in the USA paved the way for his upcoming tour in Germany. No fan is put off by the energetic Koe Wetzel show. His music and first-class stage presence promise an unforgettable concert experience.
