Choeur Louisbourg & Monique Richard
Founded in 2006 under the direction of Monique Richard, the Choeur Louisbourg has quickly carved out a place for itself on New Brunswick's cultural landscape. From its very beginnings, from 2006 to 2014, it was in residence at the Sackville Early Music Festival. Each season, the group presents concerts throughout New Brunswick. In May 2015, the Choeur Louisbourg was invited by the Service d'action culturelle et artistique de l'Université Paris 8 to take part in the Rencontres chorales 2015, devoted to the music of Acadia. The choir gave six concerts, alone or with various Parisian choirs. The Choeur Louisbourg regularly collaborates with Symphonie Nouveau-Brunswick and the Ballet-théâtre atlantique, among other groups.

While the Choeur Louisbourg has sought to distinguish itself by specialising in the early music repertoire, it occasionally allows itself intrusions into other musical periods. It also attaches importance to performing works by contemporary composers. In recent years he has premiered works by Richard Gibson and commissioned works by emerging composers such as Matthew C. Lane and James Forgarty.

In the interests of diversity, the choir has occasionally invited renowned conductors including the late Christopher Jackson, Alexander Weimann, Denis Gautheyrie and, more recently, Andrew McAnerney.
