Info for Roads That Go Nowhere

Travis Denning, the Warner Robins, Georgia native who first made a splash with his Top 40 debut single "David Ashley Parker From Powder Springs," and followed that up with the No. 1 Platinum-certified hit "After A Few," has finally released his debut full-length album, Roads That Go Nowhere. Produced by Paul DiGiovanni and Jeremy Stover, the album features 15 tracks, 12 of which Denning either wrote or co-wrote, and includes standout collaborations like "Southern Rock" featuring HARDY and "The Sound Of A Beer Getting Cracked," a duet with Josh Ross. The album is a musical scrapbook of Denning's observations, blending his love for country music with his passion for rock, mirroring his experiences both musically and personally.

“Roads That Go Nowhere is a culmination of songs and stories that I really believe reflect where I’ve come from, what I’ve been through, and the places I’ve yet to go and where I want to go,” Denning explains. “That’s with love, music, life, everything. I’m at that point in my life where I’m able to look back and reflect on the things that have gotten me here. A lot of them are positive and there are some negatives for sure. But I think that’s kind of everybody’s goal is to be able to look back and just be happy with the progress they’ve made and the potential they’ve still got.”

One standout track, “Add Her To The List,” tells a tale of regret and longing, set against an atmospheric rock foundation. This song, like many others on the album, ties back to the overarching theme of Denning’s life, depicting the metaphorical roads that led to both dead ends and triumphs. Denning’s artistic vision is clear throughout the album. “It feels pretty dead-on what I wanted to accomplish,” he says. “The theme is there with the title track, the stories are there. I got to put enough of the creative things that I connect to where I come from in there that not a lot of people get to do, and for that I am super grateful. And then, of course, there’s some big rockin’, Nashville rock ’n roll country on there. All that mixed together, it’s made what I consider a pretty well-rounded project.”

From his early days playing local bars at 16, Denning's journey has been marked by his love for country, pop, rock, and metal. This diverse musical background has informed his distinctive sound and powerful stage presence, leading to a record deal in 2017. Having penned songs for heavyweights like Jason Aldean, Justin Moore, Michael Ray, and Chase Rice, and having opened for artists such as Cole Swindell, Alan Jackson, and LANCO, Denning is now firmly stepping into the spotlight with a debut album that’s both personal and universally relatable.

Travis Denning
A native of Warner Robins, Georgia, singer/songwriter Travis Denning’s Top 15 and climbing single “After A Few” follows his Top 40 debut single “David Ashley Parker From Powder Springs.” Denning kicked off 2020 as direct support on Dustin Lynch’s STAY COUNTRY TOUR and will join Sam Hunt this summer as a special guest on his THE SOUTHSIDE SUMMER TOUR. The tour will kick off on May 28 in Charlotte, NC at PNC Music Pavilion, with coast to coast stops through September this year. Denning has previously opened shows for Cole Swindell, Alan Jackson, LANCO, Riley Green and his first headlining “Heartbeat Of A Small Town Tour.” With over 134 million streams worldwide, Denning has been spotlighted by Billboard for his “future star power” and was selected this past year as an Opry NextStage recipient and CMA KixStart Artist, as he makes his mark within the industry. Inspired at a young age, Denning developed a love for country, pop, rock and heavy metal and started playing local bars from the age of 16, as he built a strong following from his distinctive songs and raucous guitar solos. A prolific writer with an unquestionable stage presence, Denning moved to Nashville and secured outside cuts by Jason Aldean, Justin Moore, Michael Ray and Chase Rice. Denning’s newest songwriting cut includes Michael Ray’s current Top 25 single “Her World or Mine” that is continuing to climb the charts at Country radio.
