Info for The Free Will (Remastered)

Some time has passed since Bennie Wallace burst onto the international jazz scene with his award-winning debut release, 'The Fourteen Bar Blues' (on ENJA), that established the young tenorist as a genuine original and a force to be reckoned with. Here was a style that acknowledged the inspiration of such saxophone giants as Lester Young, Ben Webster, Sonny Rollins, and Eric Dolphy in a setting so fresh, so personal, and so individualistic that Wallace became the most recognizable voice on tenor in the 80's.

The international career developed strongly, the major festivals presented him - Umbria Jazz, (Italy), North Sea Festival (Netherlands), Berlin Jazz Days (Germany), Mount Fuji (Japan), Chicago (USA) and many more, his worldwide touring took shape.
