Kolbrún Óskarsdóttir aka KUSK
is a 19 year old singer, songwriter and producer from Iceland. She makes her music in her bedroom and specializes in bedroom pop, pop, dance and indie music.

In 2022 KUSK became the winner of the Icelandic “battle of the bands” Músíktilraunir. This was the first time in forty years that a solo artist won the competition. Since then she has traveled around Iceland playing many different concerts while releasing music. Her debut album “SKVALDUR” came out in October 2022.

Kolbrún started producing and writing music in the end of 2020, to have something to do during the pandemic. She simply opened up garageband and taught herself everything just by doing. She loved being able to write melodies on a guitar or piano and then transferring them over to the computer. She had been singing in a few bands but really wanted to learn how to make songs from scratch. After a while of learning and making some really bad songs and demos she released her first song “FLUGVÉLAR feat. Óviti”, in march of 2022, a song she worked on with her friend and fellow musician Hrannar Máni, or Óviti. Kolbrún and Hrannar work, write and play a lot together whilst being two solo artists.

Living in Reykjavík Kolbrún enjoys going swimming and to coffee shops, often taking the computer with her and making music.
