The mandolin opened my mind. It introduced me to music that I didn't know before and gave me the chance to express myself in a completely new way. When I strummed it years ago backstage at a concert, I immediately felt at ease and since then it has become my favourite instrument, a source of inspiration for my songs and for improving my playing technique on other instruments.
