Composer, conductor and pianist, he studied at the Conservatorio di Musica 'A. Casella' L'Aquila composition with Sergio Rendine, conducting with Marcello Bufalini, perfecting with Gianluigi Gelmetti and piano with Mara Morelli, perfecting with Sergio Perticaroli and Paul Badura-Skoda.

He combines his activity as a composer with that, equally intense, of conductor and pianist. He has collaborated with artists such as Vladimir Askenazy, Shlomo Mintz, José Carreras, Renato Bruson, Katia Ricciarelli, Milva, Cecilia Gasdia, Carla Fracci, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Amii Stewart, Antonella Ruggiero, Tony Scott, Walter Norris, Stefano Di Battista and Piera Degli Esposti.

His compositions have been commissioned and broadcast by RAI and performed in major theatres in Italy and abroad. These include two pieces in 2005, 'Cantico di Natività', conducted in mondovisione by Shlomo Mintz with the choir and orchestra of the Comunale di Bologna, and 'La montagna incantata', cantata for soprano, reciting voice, alpine choir, video images and orchestra, performed at the Rai auditorium in Turin, in February 2007, 'Pulcinella', a work composed and conducted by him for the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome, and, in March 2008, 'Ivory Concerto', for jazz trio and orchestra, which he performed at the head of the Orchestra I pomeriggi musicali in Milan for the publisher Raitrade, the opera 'Petrus. Servus servorum Dei' on the life of Pope Celestine V commissioned by the Barattelli Concert Society for the Perdonanza Celestiniana and during the international liturgical week in L'Aquila in 2009. The Pergolesi Spontini festival commissioned him the cantata 'Chiuso nel centro, Orfeo', which he conducted in 2010 conducting the festival orchestra and soloists. In 2011, he composed 'Gli Italiani delle Montagne', the official cantata for the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy in Turin. In the same year, he composed and conducted the opera 'Matteo secondo Pasolini' for the reciting voice of Ninetto Davoli and the projection of stills from the film 'Il Vangelo secondo Matteo'. His love song for L'Aquila, 'Manet Immota' with lyrics by Roberto Biondi, was the anthem of the city of L'Aquila in New York on the occasion of his work. He worked in New York, composing the music for the musical 'Refridgerator' with playwright Mario Fratti in 2012. He has participated in countless TV productions for RAI and record productions as composer, arranger and conductor.

He has recorded discs for Warner Chappel, Ricordi-Bmg, RAI Trade and Diapason records. He teaches at the Conservatorio N.Paganini in Genoa.
